It seems like only yesterday Lauren Conrad was hitting the club circuit with her besties and getting dressed up for hot dates on Laguna Beach. Now the former MTV reality darling is at the helm of a multimillion dollar empire, thanks to her hair and makeup advice (The Beauty Department!), fashion lines (Paper Crown! LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s!) and Forbes column. But that’s still not enough to satisfy the ol’ LC’s cravings for total world domination—she just announced her newest conquest: the eco-friendly industry.
LC collaborated with BlueAvocado, a women-founded sustainable lifestyle products company, on a green collection of home, travel, and cosmetic accessories. How sooo fashion-forward yet socially responsible of her! Of the new business venture, LC said: “The BlueAvocado partnership represents a synergy of things I love to do—design great products, enable women to realize their dreams, and inspire thoughtful action…. Once you realize the responsibility we have to improve our environment in our lifetime, you feel compelled to act with urgency. BlueAvocado provides a canvas for me to invite change.” To show she means business, Conrad will be inviting her 395,000+ Facebook fans to be a part of the BlueAvocado mission. And we can’t wait to join the cause! A 2-for-1 deal of helping the environment plus giving our personal beau-tay collection the Lauren Conrad makeover? Sign us up! With Lauren’s perpetually shiny hair and flawless skin, we can only hope a line of organic beauty products comes next. *SQUEAL* LC’s first eco-collection won’t officially launch until this summer, but, pssssst, you can be the first to hear about exclusive updates by clicking right here!

Lauren Conrad hit one of her favorite haunts, Beacher’s Madhouse at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, with a group of girlfriends recently. The former reality star, clad in all black, grabbed a front table and got down to songs like “Sweet Child of Mine” and “I’m the Ish.” Though focused on her friends, Conrad did get excited to see former Hills costar Frankie Delgado, giving him a huge hug when he came by to say hello. After a fun-filled night, the designer made an early exit, leaving around 1 a.m.

Do you watch a classic TV show or listen to an old song and wonder, “what happened to that person?” Welcome to Where Are They Now, an Ology feature dedicated to finding out what happened to some of Hollywood’s former bright stars. This week, we search the web to find out about the stars of the scripted reality drama, The Hills.
Lauren Conrad
After leaving the show in 2009, Conrad became a success in the fashion world. She currently has two clothing lines, LC by Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown, as well as a website, The Beauty Department. But Conrad is more than a fabulous outfit. She released a three-part book series about a girl who moves to L.A. and becomes the star of a reality show. I wonder where she got that idea from? Now that her dating life slowed down, she plans on releasing another three-book series called The Fame Game. Maybe that will be about a retired reality star who finds a fashion website.

I spent the evening uploading screen captures of Lauren from The Hills fifth season. All captures are in high quality. Enjoy:

Television Shows > The Hills > Season Five

Our lovely Lady Conrad attended the InStyle Golden Globes Party on January 15, 2012. She wore a simple and chic navy Paper Crown dress, and took her favorite accessory– Jilly Hendrix. – “The Beauty Department”,
Hair:
Lauren’s dress has a simple twist in front and so we decided to use that as the feeling for the hair. Everything is rope twists (2 pieces instead of 3 like a braid) and pinned into a low chignon shape. We’ve done this chignon before with braids, but never with just twists. We’re definitely going to do a tutorial on this so start practicing your rope twists!
Makeup:
Is there a more perfect place to wear glitter than to the InStyle party? We think not! But understated glitter of course… (no offense to the disco era). First I used the nude shade on her lid + crease and the chocolate shade on her lower lash line, then I dabbed the glitter shade all over her lid with my ring finger to deposit the glitter. Next we winged the top lash line with black liquid liner and followed with two coats of mascara and 8 individual lashes on each eye. **See Lauren demonstrate how in our Get Catty + Oh La Lashes video tutorials. I finished the look with a peach cheek + shimmery nude lip gloss.
