Heidi Montag wants her old BFF back.
The Hills star — who filed for divorce from hubby Spencer Pratt last Friday — was in a nostalgic mood on Wednesday.
“Watching old Hills [episodes],” Montag, 23, Tweeted. “I miss you @AudrinaPatridge and most of all @laurenconrad.” Neither Audrina Patridge nor Lauren Conrad responded to Montag’s plaintive Tweets.
Former roommates and best friends, Montag and Conrad famously ended their friendship over Montag’s boyfriend-turned husband Pratt; among other things, Conrad accused the couple of leaking a false rumor about a sex tape. When Montag attempted to mend the friendship, Conrad brushed her off on camera, quipping, “I want to forgive you — and forget you.”
Still, Conrad — and Patridge — did attend the couple’s April 2009 wedding. Citing irreconcilable differences, Montag filed for divorce from Pratt, 26, in a Santa Monica, Calif. Spencer’s explanation? “Well, some say if you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Heidi couldn’t handle King Spencer’s fame so she got out of the marriage,” Pratt told UsMagazine.com of his wife’s momentous decision.

After halting production of her first signature clothing line last year amidst a bleak retail landscape, Lauren Conrad is back at it again, with plans for a new contemporary collection already underway.
With her affordable Lauren Conrad collection already being sold at Kohl’s, the former Hills star tells PEOPLE she is starting a new line with several of her best friends. “It’s a contemporary women’s line,” she revealed to PEOPLE while hosting a party at Las Vegas’s Tao Beach on Saturday. “Where Kohl’s is a lot of daywear, it’s a lot of basics. This will be more specialty basics, more of a boutique line. It will be at a higher price point. It will be very different.”
And while Conrad, 24, said the new collection is just getting started, she can’t contain her excitement. “It’s one thing to work with a huge retailer like Kohl’s and there is so much you get to do, but there is a little more of a thrill of doing it on your own,” she said. “It’s a lot more work, it’s a lot more stressful, but it’s something I love doing so I’m really looking forward to it.”
Tell us: are you looking forward to another clothing line from Lauren?

If you are anything like us, you have been a big fan of Lauren Conrad, once known as “LC” on Laguna Beach and you sported TEAM LAUREN tees from Hollister. But now, our Lauren is all grown up and has so many amazing things going on in her life — from life after The Hills to her new collection, Kohl’s line and latest books — Lauren Conrad is a name you just can’t forget.
How has life been since The Hills?
It’s been great! It’s always a little scary to make a big change like I did when I decide to leave the show, but I don’t regret it one bit. Since I’ve left I’ve discovered a new love… writing! I have had such an amazing experience writing my novels and touring the country for signings. It’s been an exciting year and I’ve learned so much.
Also, I have been having such great time working on my Kohl’s line and have been blown away by the support I have received. Fashion has always been what I have loved to do and I feel so fortunate to be working with such a great partner. Aside from that, I have really enjoyed having a personal life and the opportunity to do a little traveling. All and all, I’d say it’s been a great year.
We just finished reading your second book, Sweet Little Lies (HarperCollins) and of course, it kept us wanting more — How did the idea of your LA Candy Series come about? Was writing something you have always been interested in?
The concept of the LA Candy series was more of a compromise than an original thought. I was interested in writing a dating book (sort of a what-not-to-do for someone who’s made all of the mistakes) and HarperCollins wanted me to write a tell-all about The Hills. Since I wasn’t comfortable revealing the secrets of others we began talking about a fictional series. This way I could tell the story of a journey similar to the my own without calling anyone out…but still include insider knowledge from someone who’s lived it.
How are the books [related] to your personal life - was that the inspiration?
I wrote from experiences and I also based characters on a compilation of people I had met in my life but the books aren’t real life. I had a ton of fun playing make-believe.
I have to say, you have always been a great decorator — your house on television and apartment was very chic. Is a decorating or lifestyle book something you may do in the future?
It’s funny that you say that because I have always struggled with decorating. I can throw an outfit together in 30 seconds flat but show me an empty room or blank wall and I’m stumped. I have learned a few things along the way like…the color you paint your walls will reflect off your skin (example: green wall make u look sick), flowers are a great way to add a pop color to any room (peonies are the best), and flea markets are great for finding deals and original pieces. I would love to write a book about decorating because I would learn so much in the process and then get to share it with others.
A few seasons ago we saw your collection during LA Fashion Week. Do you plan on showing again at some point?
I am currently starting up a new clothing line with one of my best friends. It’s a contemporary line similar to my original but with a different look. The first season we are designing is Fall 2011.
You always seem to have a lot going on - never a dull moment! What is up next for you?
I have a book tour coming up in the beginning of October. Actually it’s a double tour for my third novel, Sugar & Spice, and a Style guide that I wrote (Lauren Conrad Style). Besides that I have the clothing lines to keep me busy, but I am also looking for the perfect project to produce. I’ve always loved the production side of entertainment and would love to be a part of it. I just want to be careful to select a show that I’ll love. I want my first one to be great!
We just can’t wait for the next book to come out in the LA Candy series. Sugar & Spice, along with Lauren’s Style book will hit shelves in October. Start counting down now! In the meantime make sure you pick up the page-turning series and stay-up-to date with Lauren on Twitter and on her website. Of course, the LA Candy series gets the cupcakeMAG stamp of approval - they all are must-reads!

Women’s Health magazine released the 2010 Best Summer Bodies list for 2010 and a number of musicians have made the cut.
Katy Perry has been busy promoting her new album, “Teenage Dream,” but the sexy pop star still manages to take care of her bikini-ready figure. Katy landed at No. 7 on the list this year just ahead of Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian. According to the magazine, Katy maintains her figure with an organic diet.
Carrie Underwood scored the No. 6 position just behind Jessica Biel. The talented singer credits her body to her vegetarian diet and her commitment to keeping a food journal.
Vanessa Hudgens squeaked into the No. 4 spot, losing out to Ashley Greene, Jessica Alba and Brooklyn Decker. While admitting to having a weakness for chocolate, this young singer relies on cardio workouts to stay in shape.
Other MTV artists to land on the list this year include Rihanna, Pink, Fergie and Gwen Stefani. Check out the full list and leave comments about the winners.
Blurb About Lauren:
#8 - Lauren Conrad, Reality Star/Author
For this designer and author, working out and eating right isn’t just about being in shape—it’s about upping her energy level too. With the help of trainer Jarett Del Bene, she gets trim and toned with high-intensity boxing and 60-minute circuit training sessions three days a week. She also sticks to six small, healthy meals throughout the day (limiting herself to 1,500 calories total) to help prevent snack attacks. Eating small, healthy meals is Lauren’s approach to curbing her appetite (so smart).

Lauren Conrad may be The Hills‘ biggest breakout star, but her time on the show definitely had some dark moments.
Her worst memory during her run on the hit MTV reality series? Read on to find out. Plus, get the details on her father’s shocking reaction…
“Worst time was when there was a rumor I had a sex tape,” Conrad told me last night during our exclusive one-on-one sit-down at the series finale party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. “And the worst part of that is you have to make one really uncomfortable phone call to your parents.”
Fortunately, things turned out just fine.
“I was crying on the phone with my mom and then my dad got on the phone,” Conrad remembered. “I was scared to tell him this was going around, and he says, ‘What’s the big deal? Everybody has sex.’ He was the most mellow about it!”
In other shocking news, Conrad, who left The Hills a while ago, says she was quite surprised to be nominated this year for a Teen Choice Award for Female Reality/Variety Star. “It’s a little strange,” she said, smiling. “It’s really cool, but unexpected.”
However, she doesn’t think she’ll be going home with the surfboard, because she’s up against a certain Jersey Shore starlet. “Hands down,” Conrad said, “Snooki will win.”
Snooki twittered me this morning, “Aw haha I love lauren !! We shall see!”
Conrad has yet to meet the Jersey Shore cast. “I wasn’t at the Movie Awards this year because I had to work in New York, but Lo [Bosworth] called me like in the middle of the night and she put DJ Pauly D on the phone with me,” Conrad said. “That was pretty exciting for me.”

Lauren Conrad is going dark.
No, this isn’t a story about the former Hills star changing the color of her hair…
Conrad says she’s planning on penning a spinoff of her L.A. Candy novels.
“I’m going to take Madison from the book and do a darker series,” she told me the other night the Hills finale party. “I already wrote a little bit and it was really fun.”
L.A. Candy focuses on Jane Roberts, a young woman who moves to Hollywood, gets a job with an events planner and eventually lands her own reality show. Like Conrad, Jane isn’t always happy with her fame and the attention it brings. (FYI: She just completed writing third installment of the Candy trilogy).
“I think it would be really fun to do it the other way, with someone who loves it,” Conrad explained. “Someone who loves the fame and plays that game well.”
As for those plans to turn L.A. Candy into a movie, Conrad sighed, “It’s a very slow process.”

Spencer Pratt extended his 15 minutes of fame Tuesday night − by disguising himself as an old man and freaking out cast members of “The Hills.”
Pratt, 26, who was dropped from the MTV reality show last season after reportedly making a death threat against one of the producers, wasn’t invited to “The Hills” live finale at L.A.’s Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. But that didn’t stop him from showing up and unnerving Lauren Conrad, among others.
“For someone who was such an integral part of the show, he was not even allowed at the curb. The talent are really physically afraid of him,” says one insider who attended the finale. “Lauren Conrad had a Taser in her bag.” (A spokeswoman for Conrad declined to comment.)
When Gatecrasher contacted Pratt’s publicist to ask him about his appearance, he called us to say that he had dressed up as a “crazy old man” − in a gray wig and aviator sunglasses − because “when your life is edited into one-minute segments” that appear in dozens of episodes of an MTV reality show, “that’s what you look like in the end.”
Pratt says he wasn’t invited to “The Hills” finale because Conrad “was in charge of the guest list, and when LC does the VIP list, you better hope you’ve been kissing her boo-tay.”

Goodbye Hills, hello glamour!
Lauren Conrad, 24, wowed fans at the series’ wrap party in Hollywood Tuesday night with her sophisticated Bohemian style. The reality vet’s hair and makeup team tell UsMagazine.com how to steal her look.
“Our overall inspiration was a chic California girl with a ’60s twist,” M•A•C makeup pro Gregory Arlt tells Us.
To get Conrad’s dewey complexion, he played up Conrad’s natural beauty by using neutral colors.
“Mix a pea sized drop of M•A•C Studio Sculpt foundation with two drops of Jasmine oil on the back of your hand,” Arlt tells Us. “The oil will extend the foundation, allowing it to apply harmoniously to your skin.”
Begin blending the foundation with a sponge at the center of your face, paying close attention to under the eyes and on the cheeks. Next, apply powder with a large fluffy brush for in a circular motion. Lightly add M•A•C “Margin” blush in a circular motion on the apples of the cheeks.
Arlt chose not to use eye shadow on Conrad, opting instead to play with M•A•C Mineralized Skin Finish powder in “Light/Medium” on her lids.
“I used the lighter one on the lids and under the brows with a dense, stiff brush,” Arlt says. “I contoured the crease of the eye with a darker powder and fluffy eyeshadow brush. Apply that on the brow bone in a back and forth fashion to blend.”
When applying M•A•C’s “Haute+Naughty” mascara, do so diagonally on the outer lashes, forward on the middle lashes and downward toward the nose for the inner lashes. This will create a wispy, fan-like effect. Next, apply M•A•C “Blacktrack” liquid liner to the eye (thinner toward the inner eye and thicker toward the outer eye for a graphic cat eye). Finish with a dab of clear lip gloss.
To get Conrad’s flirty ponytail, hairstylist Kristin Ess created messy waves in all different directions using 1″ and 1 1/4″ curling irons. She then created a small ponytail in the back of her head using about half of the hair from the middle back. She then took the remaining hair and made a ponytail over the original ponytail and left it slightly messy.
“When you’re dealing with thick hair like Lauren’s, doubling up the ponytail like that insures that it won’t slide down or loosen up throughout the night,” Ess tells Us.
To keep her tresses in tact, Ess sprayed a light veil of hairspray over the look, shaking the ponytail as she sprayed it for an extra bit of texture.

Now that The Hills is over and done with, Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad are letting bygones be bygones — but they’re not exactly BFFs, either.
Cavallari, 23, replaced Conrad, 24, as the protagonist and “narrator” of the series in 2009, but the pair have a rocky history: as schoolmates on Hills precursor Laguna Beach, they both battled over Stephen Colletti. And both bad girl Cavallari and the milder Conrad dated Brody Jenner.
“I saw her at the wrap party on Saturday and we caught up,” Cavallari told UsMagazine.com at Tuesday’s series finale party, explaining that they’re now cordial — but that’s about it.
“We are not going to lunch together and I don’t have her phone number, but we are cool.”
Cavallari is on chummier terms with fling-turned-friend Jenner. Jenner, 26, is now dating singer Avril Lavigne; Cavallari is seeing Miguel Medina, a cameraman from The Hills.
Have they double dated? “We haven’t yet, but we would,” she told Us. “Our friendship is the most important thing and I don’t think that anything will ever get in the way of that.”
