I spent the evening uploading screen captures of Lauren from The Hills fifth season. All captures are in high quality. Enjoy: Television Shows > The Hills > Season Five Since she left “The Hills” in 2009, Lauren Conrad seemed to welcome her time away from the spotlight. But in a surprise move last week, she announced plans to return to MTV in a new docu-series about launching her latest fashion line. So what brought about LC’s change of heart? Although the reality starlet had popped up as a guest judge on “America’s Next Top Model” and made one last appearance on the “Hills” finale aftershow in July, she was in no hurry to begin documenting her life again for public consumption. Instead, she focused on other projects, including a clothing line with Kohl’s called LC Lauren Conrad and two novels, “L.A. Candy” and “Sweet little Lies.” The third in the series, “Sugar and Spice,” comes out next week, as does her fashionista guide, “Lauren Conrad Style.” Earlier this year, when we asked her about returning to television, LC was hesitant, saying that her plate was already full. And it was a sentiment she had previously shared when we caught up with her in June ’09, shortly after she walked away from her hit MTV show. “I wouldn’t do a show like ‘The Hills,’ ” she told MTV News at the time. “Nothing with my personal life, but possibly something hosting. I think I have a little bit of time to figure out what I’m going to do next.” Over time, however, it seems LC was softening to the idea. In February, she said that while she wasn’t ready to make the leap back to the small screen, she wouldn’t rule out behind-the-scenes opportunities. “The only other thing I’d love to do right now is producing,” she explained. “I’m just kind of looking for the perfect project because I think the first thing I do I really have to love, so I want to wait until I really have enough time to commit to a series.” That project turned out to be her own documentary series, which will put her back in front of the camera. “I am so excited to be rejoining the MTV family,” Lauren said in a statement about her new TV venture. “The new project will follow me as I develop my new contemporary line and also touch on my other businesses.” At least LC has one great lesson she learned from her previous forays into reality TV. “I didn’t learn a thing! I’m the same as I went in,” she joked back in July. “I learned not to take yourself seriously!” Source: mtv.com Lauren Conrad may be The Hills‘ biggest breakout star, but her time on the show definitely had some dark moments. Her worst memory during her run on the hit MTV reality series? Read on to find out. Plus, get the details on her father’s shocking reaction… “Worst time was when there was a rumor I had a sex tape,” Conrad told me last night during our exclusive one-on-one sit-down at the series finale party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. “And the worst part of that is you have to make one really uncomfortable phone call to your parents.” Fortunately, things turned out just fine. “I was crying on the phone with my mom and then my dad got on the phone,” Conrad remembered. “I was scared to tell him this was going around, and he says, ‘What’s the big deal? Everybody has sex.’ He was the most mellow about it!” In other shocking news, Conrad, who left The Hills a while ago, says she was quite surprised to be nominated this year for a Teen Choice Award for Female Reality/Variety Star. “It’s a little strange,” she said, smiling. “It’s really cool, but unexpected.” However, she doesn’t think she’ll be going home with the surfboard, because she’s up against a certain Jersey Shore starlet. “Hands down,” Conrad said, “Snooki will win.” Snooki twittered me this morning, “Aw haha I love lauren !! We shall see!” Conrad has yet to meet the Jersey Shore cast. “I wasn’t at the Movie Awards this year because I had to work in New York, but Lo [Bosworth] called me like in the middle of the night and she put DJ Pauly D on the phone with me,” Conrad said. “That was pretty exciting for me.” Source: eonline.com Spencer Pratt extended his 15 minutes of fame Tuesday night − by disguising himself as an old man and freaking out cast members of “The Hills.” Pratt, 26, who was dropped from the MTV reality show last season after reportedly making a death threat against one of the producers, wasn’t invited to “The Hills” live finale at L.A.’s Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. But that didn’t stop him from showing up and unnerving Lauren Conrad, among others. “For someone who was such an integral part of the show, he was not even allowed at the curb. The talent are really physically afraid of him,” says one insider who attended the finale. “Lauren Conrad had a Taser in her bag.” (A spokeswoman for Conrad declined to comment.) When Gatecrasher contacted Pratt’s publicist to ask him about his appearance, he called us to say that he had dressed up as a “crazy old man” − in a gray wig and aviator sunglasses − because “when your life is edited into one-minute segments” that appear in dozens of episodes of an MTV reality show, “that’s what you look like in the end.” Pratt says he wasn’t invited to “The Hills” finale because Conrad “was in charge of the guest list, and when LC does the VIP list, you better hope you’ve been kissing her boo-tay.” |
